Our well-known Training Department provides free business and professional development opportunities to Black and racialized entrepreneurs and employees.

All BBI programs are strategically selected to accommodate the market trends and our clients’ needs to help build the skills, knowledge, and confidence of our participants. Training offerings are delivered through programs, workshops, webinars, conferences, business consultations, and more.

Upcoming Training Summer 2024

The Black Business Initiative’s Training Department provides ongoing entrepreneurship development and business training courses to Black entrepreneurs and employees. To be eligible for the BBI training series, you must be a Black business owner based in the Atlantic Canada provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, OR a Black employee currently working in one of the four provinces.

Winter 2024 Training

The Black Business Initiative has concluded its winter 2024 training in collaboration with Workplace Education Initiatives (WEI), and we’ll be resuming training sessions for the Fall season.
