Our fiscal year end is March 31 . Our Annual Report is delivered at the Annual General Meeting, and summarizes the year’s financial and business activities.

Tourism Roundtable
In 2007, we initiated a study to assess the tourism potential and market-readiness of Black cultural experiences in Nova Scotia and to develop strategies to enable those attractions/experiences to realize their full promise as part of the Nova Scotia tourism mix.
Food Services Roundtable
On November 24, 2004, the BBI hosted a roundtable on the food service industry to identify issues that may impact African Canadian workers. The roundtable also discussed action plans to mitigate issues and provide networking opportunities for companies within the industry.

In January 2000, we held a discussion on the participation of the African Nova Scotian companies in the Construction Industry.
BBI Task Force Report
On May 24, 1995, a five-member Task Force of the Black Business Initiative was set up to consult with the Black community throughout Nova Scotia.
