Our well-known Training Department provides free business and professional development opportunities to Black and racialized entrepreneurs and employees.
All BBI programs are strategically selected to accommodate the market trends and our clients’ needs to help build the skills, knowledge, and confidence of our participants. Training offerings are delivered through 11-week programs, workshops, webinars, conferences, business consultations, and more.
Our Training Department provides a variety of learning opportunities throughout the year. These activities engage and support our clients’ business growth, professional networks, leadership, and skills. Some of these training opportunities include workshops and lunch & learns co-hosted with partners who have expertise on various business topics.

Procurement Training: Spring 2023
Did you know the Government of Canada buys products and services from small businesses, and that some purchases are for just a few hundreds or thousands of dollars?
Federal departments in Atlantic Canada are looking for new suppliers from the region’s Black business community for a variety of services from photography and communication to catering and cleaning, and for larger contracts in construction, landscaping, snow removal, and for many other products and services!
