BIJ Training & Activities that Make Business Real
- Business Camps and Workshops
One week of fun-filled, interactive business camps that take young people through the stages of starting and running a business. The participants also learn about their personal entrepreneurial traits. - Invention Convention
Participants are challenged to engineer a project that can provide a solution to a chosen task or problem involving math and science. - Afrikayak
A two-week camp where participants learn the science involved in building kayaks. They decide what type of business they would engage in involving the kayak at the end of the camp. - Role Models on the Road
A panel of young professionals makes presentations at junior and high schools. This activity exposes students to positive role models and mentors. - Lunch and Learn
Black youth come together from across the province for a three-day camp that includes workshops and personal development, entrepreneurship and site visits to successful businesses. - Business Builders Camp
One-week camp that introduces kids (7-10) to entrepreneurship in a fun and energetic environment. - Putting the Lessons to Work - and Rewarding Results
An on-going business development competition targeting 5-10 businesses. Prizes are awarded for the most enterprising youth within each category. - Business is Jammin' Rally
A year-end, two-day fun-filled activity for all BIJ participants across the province.
