Tourism Roundtable

In 2007, the Black Business Initiative (BBI) initiated a study to assess the tourism potential and market-readiness of Black cultural experiences in Nova Scotia and to develop strategies to enable those attractions/experiences to realize their full promise as part of the Nova Scotia tourism product mix.

Construction Sector Roundtable

In January 2000, BBI held a discussion on the participation of the African Nova Scotian companies in the Construction Industry.

The objective of the discussion was to review how to:

  • Build Partnerships and linkages to the Buisness Community
  • Create and improve access to private and public sectors

Food Services Roundtable

On November 24, 2004 the BBI hosted a roundtable on the food service industry.

The goal of the roundtable was to identify issue that may impact on African Canadians within this industry. The roundtable also discussed action plans to mitigate issues and provide networking opportunities for companies within the industry.
