Emma Beukema is the Director, Entrepreneurship at the Black Business Initiative. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and brings with her over 15 years of working with SMEs. Emma is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Development Studies.
Previous to working at BBI, she worked at a consulting company as a Trade Development Manager where she was instrumental in the planning of incoming and outgoing trade missions. In the position she also assisted Nova Scotia companies in expanding and targeting international markets.
Emma is a devoted wife and mother as well as a passionate advocate for causes she believes in. She currently serves on the board of Queenpins and Between the Bridges.
