About BBI

Partnerships

No business can succeed in isolation. This is something we understand very well at the BBI. Our initiatives develop, work and benefit from strong networks and partnerships. We could not do what we do without the support of partners like the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Nova Scotia Department of Economic Development.

Our media partner, Global Maritimes, helps us communicate the benefits of our organization through profiles of successful Black businesses in this province.

Our Business is Jammin' program continues to grow and reach more youth every year teaching them that the entrepreneurial spirit and capability is within each and every one of them. Helping us do that are Service Canada and The Black Employment Partnership Committees. Also, the Royal Bank of Canada has consistently been the largest financial contributor to the success of BIJ's programs.

The BBI has over the years signed memorandums of agreement with several organizations such as the Greater Halifax Partnership. Through these partnerships, the BBI aims to further enhance business growth and opportunity in our community.
